User Registration Page. Note that this user will by default be your school's admin user and have all the rights to add/ modify/ delete any content or data pertaining to your school.
If you have logged in for the first time, you should use the setup menu and set up your school and academic
year respectively. Select the school link from top navigation
Its a 5 step process, so lets go step by step...
School information:
This screen lets you add details like address, contact nos, fax nos, syllabus and most importantly an
about field which lets you enter a nice and effective introduction of your school. You can format the
text to your heart's desire and why do you need to do it? Thats because this text will be available to
general visitors of the site even without logging in (quite possibly prospects).
User Registrations:
This is where you get to add users i.e. Teachers and Students. Please note that teachers have lesser
privileges as compared to the school admin but can do a lot of stuff to be able to help with the school
and/ or the academic year setup. Students have mostly read rights only except for the messaging feature
where they have all rights.
Add Standards:
As the name suggests this is where you create the standards that you have in your schools. Typically it
would be Jr. KG to Xth.
Add Subjects:
You would have guessed by now that you can define the subjects that are taught in your school. For ex:
English, History, Geography
Add Exams:
Define the exams that are generally conducted in your school. For ex: Unit Test 1, Mid Semister etc..
Unlike the school set up which is like a one time thing the academic year set up is something which has to
be done annually.
Here you define the no of the divisions for each standard. You may have realized by now
that the no of divisions for any standard may change each year depending on the no of students available that
year for that standard. As you add the divisions you will see a list of standards with its respective divisions
listed on the index page. You will also find options to assign students to a particular division, assign subjects
to a particular division and assign teachers to a subject that is already assigned to a division.
To get to this page you need to click on the assign subjects link of any division from the list displayed on the divisions screen. This is where you link the subjects that are taught in a particular division of a particular standard.
To get to this page you need to click on the assign students link of any division from the list displayed on the divisions screen or "I'm Done" of the previous screen i.e. the assign subjects screen. Now link the students to a division of a particular standard (This is a one time linking and the system will take care of the next academic year linkings)
To get to this page you need to click on the assign teachers link of any division from the list displayed on the divisions screen or "I'm Done" of the previous screen. Now link the teachers who will be teaching any subject/s in any particular division.
The dashboard gives you a quick view about the on goings in your school. You will see that the
screen is divided into 2. The Calendar and the Mailbox. The Calendar typically shows a user the upcoming
holidays, exams and events coming up in the next 2 weeks. Where as the Mailbox displays the last 5 notices
and events released by the school other than the messages he/she may have received.
Admin dashboard
Admin users and teachers can declare holidays, exams and events from time to time so every body else can
view this information on their dashbord as soon as they login.
As an admin user you can create as well as delete messages, events and notices from the dashboard itself.

Exam Schedule
This is probably one of the most important aspects of the system other than "Enter Marks".
Admin users and you teachers can use schedule section of the main menu to navigate to this page and
schedule an exam for a particular division of a particular standard at a time. For ex: If a teacher wants to
schedule the exam for Division "A" of Standard 1 then he/she will have to select the exam, the standard and
finally the division and hit the Go button. This will bring the list of subjects taught in that division.
The teacher will have to simply use the date calendar to schedule the date and time of the exam for each subject
and hit the update button.
Entering Marks
This is the other important aspect of the system other than "Exam schedule".
Admin users or ideally the teachers can use performance section of the main menu to navigate to this page and
enter marks for a particular subject of a division of a particular standard at a time. For ex: If a teacher
wants to enter the marks of subject "English" for an exam of Division "A" of Standard 1 then he/she will have
to select the exam, the standard, the division and finally the subject in this case English and hit the Go
button. This will bring the list of students studying in that division. The teacher will have to simply enter
the marks received by each student and hit the update button.

that division along with marks obtained and a link to their respective gradebooks.
